NYPD Police Officer Morgese and his partner, Police Officer Mohammad Hossain, responded to a residential building for a 911 call regarding a person who may have ingested drugs, was acting violently, and in possession of a knife. As officers arrived at the scene, a 19-year-old woman, the girlfriend of the suspect, came screaming out of the apartment with apparent slice wounds to her face. the man, identified as 30-year-old Michael Dotel, holding his mother in a headlock with a large carving knife to her throat. he was pronounced deceased, the two injured women where they were treated for injuries sustained from Dotel's assault.
